What is Bowen Therapy?

The therapy was devised in Australia in the 1950’s by Tom Bowen, who by the 1970’s, was treating about 13,000 people a year with this gentle therapy. Louth Bowen, based a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Louth, in Lincolnshire, specialises in Bowen therapy.

The therapy which is non- invasive and safe, consists of a series of light rolling moves over muscles, tendons and nerves at precise points on the body. During and after treatment people generally become very relaxed and experience heat or tingling in the affected area.
